Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at these Timbren Rear-Wheel BES Disc Brake Pads. Now, these pads have been designed to fit your 2013 to 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty, either the 2-wheel or 4-wheel-drive models, and then your F350 Super Duty, again, either the 2-wheel or 4-wheel-drive models with either the dual or single rear wheels. Now, on custom-fit parts such as these pads, I do recommend going through our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle and answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our Fit Guide will confirm if these pads will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, if you do a lot of towing or hauling, your factory brake pads can start to feel overwhelmed by all the extra weight.
These severe-duty brake pads are designed specifically for trucks that tow or haul or both, so these are gonna give you a stronger initial bite and more responsive pedals, so you're gonna feel more confident when you need to slow down. Whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone pulls out in front of you, these pads are gonna give you better control during hard braking situations. They're also built to handle the heat that comes with towing. The fade-resistant friction material is gonna maintain consistent braking performance through repeated stops, so your brakes are gonna stay predictable even on those long grades or in stop-and-go traffic. And because these are low-metallic pads, they will naturally provide more stopping power, but they can also create more noise.
So, to help with that, Timbren has, on the other side here, these premium multi-layered vulcanized rubber shims to help reduce squeal without sacrificing brake performance. So, on your screen, I've got a photo there showing you a close up of one of those shims and the multi-layered construction. Second photo there on your screen just shows you what that brake pad looks like with the shim pulled off, and you got a better look at the construction of the pad itself. So, each pad is positive-molded. That's gonna ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of the pads.
All four of these pads include a bed-in coating, identified by these blue strips here. And so, during that first initial braking, this coating is going to transfer over onto the rotor, and that's going to help give you a solid pedal feel right away while shortening the break-in period. It includes everything that you see here. Installation's gonna be relatively straightforward.
