Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a real quick look at this Timbren rear wheel BES brake upgrade kit. Now this kit has been designed to fit your 2013 to 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty, either the two-wheel or four-wheel drive models. And then your F-350 Super Duty, again, either the two-wheel or four-wheel drive model with the single rear wheels. Now on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend going through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.
Pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it has for you and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now upgrading your suspension can definitely improve your ride quality, help reduce sag when you're hauling heavy loads or you're towing heavy trailers, and it can make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling, but it doesn't reduce the extra workload placed on your factory brakes. So if you ever felt like your truck takes longer to stop when you're hauling a large heavy trailer, or maybe your brakes are wearing out faster than you expected, or that added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit comes into play. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavier loads. Now these low metallic Onyx bite brake pads are going to provide a strong initial bite and they're going to eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing.
So you're going to notice more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip. On the other side here, we have these multi-layer rubber shims that are going to help stabilize the brake pads during braking, ultimately reducing vibration, keeping brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing brake performance. On your screen, I've got a few photos there for you. That first one shows you a closeup of the construction of that shim from Timbren, a multi-layer design. The second photo shows you a brake pad, a little more detail with that shim pulled off.
So I just kind of wanted to give you an idea, a little more of a close up of the construction of the shim and the brake pad. So these positive molded pads paired with these precision balanced rotors are going to promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel. Now speaking of these rotors, these are OEM style vented rotors. So that's going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce brake fade when towing. And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins, and outer edges.
As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes, so this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard Geomet coating most commonly used on OEM parts. This coating also helps protect them, the rotors from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and driving in winter condition. So it's going to keep your brakes looking cleaner between surfaces without affecting braking performance. These pads, by the way, also feature a bed encoating indicated by the blue stripes here on the pads. That's going to transfer to the rotor to protect it during those first initial stops. So you're going to be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. Insulation is going to be relatively straightforward. Everything that you see here on my table is included, the rotors, the pads, the clips here, and also lubricant.
