Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren front wheel BES brake upgrade kit. Now this has been designed to fit your 2011 to 2018 Ram 1500, and then your 2019 to 2024 1500 Classic. On custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer, pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you. And that fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So upgrading the suspension of your truck is going to improve the ride quality.
It's going to help reduce the sag when you're towing or hauling heavy loads. It's going to overall make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling, but it does not reduce the extra workload that's placed on your factory brakes. So if you've ever felt like your truck was taking longer to stop with the trailer, or maybe your brakes we inchesre wearing out a little bit faster than expected, or that added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come into play. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavier loads. These low metallic onyx bite brake pads are going to provide a strong initial bite and eliminate the brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing.
So you're going to notice a more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip. And then on the back here, we have this multi-layered rubber shim that's going to help stabilize the brake pads during braking. And as you can see there, I've got a few photos there for you on your screen. The first photo is a closeup of a shim from Timbren, just showing you the construction and the different layers there. The second photo shows you what that brake pad looks like with the shim removed just to give you a better idea of the construction of the brake pad itself.
So those shims are going to help reduce vibration. It's going to keep brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. Now these positive molded pads are paired with these precision balance rotors and together they're going to promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM style vented rotors. So that's going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to help reduce brake fade when towing.
And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins, and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating that's most commonly used on OEM parts. This coating also helps protect them from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving, keeping your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting braking performance. By the way, these pads also feature a bed end coating indicated by the blue stripe that you see here. This is going to transfer to the rotor to protect it during the first stop. So you're going to be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. Insulation's going to be pretty straightforward. Everything that you see here on my table is going to be included in this kit.
