Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at a DeeMaxx disc brake assembly kit. It's going to be for a 12-inch hub and rotor, and it's going to be a six on five and a half inch lug pattern. Now folks, I just put one of these on the table. You will get everything you see in the photo there.
So you will get a complete kit, enough to do a single axle either upgrade, conversion or replacement. So you're gonna get two calipers like you see, two integrated rotor and hub disc assemblies. You get all the races, bearing, seals you need for both of them. And of course, both caliper brackets as well. So again folks, this is for the complete kit.
I just want to kind of save some space on the table and give you a little better close up versus having two of everything up here. So again, start with that integrated hub and rotor. You can see everything here is one solid piece. That's gonna be great and make it quicker maintenance. You can slide off your old drum and everything, and then pop these right on in place with the caliper bracket, caliper, and of course all the hardware.
You do get all the lug nuts included. All the races are pre-pressed in there from the factory. You can see you've got slots in here on the whole assembly that's gonna help with heat. It's also gonna help let water drain out stuff. So these do feature DeeMaxx's max coating.
So that just means they're a heavier duty as far as the corrosion resistant finish that's on there. It's gonna resist rust a lot better, especially in the water environments, whether it's salt water, regular water, road salts, et cetera. And again, you're going to get both bearings, inner and outer, the seals and the dust cap here. It does feature the rubber plug inside of there. So if you have those easy lube axles or the ones with the grease certs, lots of different brands out there carry 'em. They call 'em different names for each one, but the concept's the same, right And again, you're gonna get the pads included as well with those calipers. So folks, disc brakes, as you know, offer give several advances over your traditional drum brakes from better heat dissipation, as I mentioned. You're gonna get more consistent braking performance. You're gonna get improved stopping power, especially during repeated braking, long downhill grades, those kinda things as well. And once again, because everything's included, it's gonna be a lot faster replacement. Again, whether it's just replacing them or upgrading. That being said, you don't wanna tackle it yourself.
