This was the hardest day on the trip home... I lost cooling, the engine overheated, and I crashed into rocks trying to turn to the tow path. I worried about blocking the canal, so I called a "securite", and the USCG called out police and fire. In the end, it all worked out, but it was the lowest point I've hit since I started this project.

In the end, though, I am grateful this all happened. It was a test of my commitment, sure, but far more, it underlined and highlighted how many wonderful and good people there are out there.
