We have received an urgent message from Admiral T'Lara of Starfleet Command. We are ordered to redirect the ship to the colony on Carina VII in the Beta Quadrant. The colony's governor, Syreeta Sebastian, is reporting a series of strange phenomena that threaten the colony's safety. She states that children born on Carina VII are aging rapidly, the native flora and fauna are growing rapidly and just as rapidly withering, and structures that should have lasted decades are falling apart. The Kongzi is the closest ship to the colony with quantum slipstream drive, and it is imperative that we discover a solution to the colony's problems.
