Our research into the plight of Ash'Tamalia and her people has led us to a remote sector within the Expanse. We're gathering evidence to support a theory our science team has cooked up revolving around harnessing the energy from powerful bursts of EM radiation to burn a hole through subspace in order to 'tunnel' to the Tilikaal pocket universe. The Kongzi is studying a cluster of pulsars, all of which have formed in the last decade which seems to be an artificial occurrence. Some of the senior staff believes this may be the result of Tilikaal technology. But before they can get much done a distress call comes in from a previously unknown species. Now the Kongzi is in the middle of a rescue and a first contact scenario all rolled into one. The new species seems open and friendly, but their homeworld may hide secrets connected to the ongoing strange events in the Shakleton Expanse. How will the rescue go?
