Emerson Heat Fan 52" ceiling fan Emerson's signature bronzy-brown finish. I recently found a pair of these in the trash during Cleanup Week, and have been slowly working on getting them back in shape ever since. Definitely one of the top holy grail Cleanup Week finds ever, especially being a matched set. They were absolutely filthy; covered in grease, black dust, and some paint spatter. Definitely had to have been installed in some sort of workshop environment. Emerson did a great job with these particular finishes camouflaging dirtiness, because they really didn't look too bad, but after picking them up my hands were literally coated and I had to stop and wash them. After initial inspection, it looked like they'd clean up really well. Both had canopies that were very dented up, one was ripped open on the bottom. I thought about sourcing new mounting that would look similar from one of my manufacturer partners, but ended up painstakingly reforming the metal and filling all the holes and harsh dents I couldn't fix. I was able to match the paint really quite well, and while they're still not absolutely flawless, I'm happy to have all the original parts in place. This one had less grease caked on, so all the original finishes except for the canopy are still intact. I did touch up a couple places where there was some larger paint loss, which didn't match exactly great because the concentration of metallic in the new paint is higher, but I made it work to avoid repainting. Because of all that, this one is the less-nice of the two and has a few more dings and dents, but far from being unpresentable! Both fans got new bearings, as I could tell they were rough, and it was easier to disassemble the entire motor to get everything properly cleaned up anyway. Both also got new pull chains, as they were clipped and the fans were modified to just run on high, I'm sure with a wall control. All in all, they turned out great and run beautifully. Not mint condition by any means, but environment considered, they look really good. K63 4 blade with switch housing was probably my next most-wanted variant, so I was really thrilled to find these. I love 3 blade K55 with the silver logo cap because I saw a lot of those as a kid, but I also saw this variant in the shop at the car dealership my family always used through the 90s and early 00s.
