In this video we're going to be getting started with the Elegoo Neptune 4 PLUS 3D printer - I'll walk you through everything from the unboxing, assembly, firmware updates, and Slicer settings to our first print using the Neptune 4 PLUS and a large variety of other print examples.
I will also show you how to get started with OrcaSlicer and how to send files to the Elegoo Neptune 4 PLUS wirelessly and get the best results with your prints.

The Elegoo Neptune 4 PLUS features a 320 x 320 x 385mm build volume and many of the usual offerings of a modern 3D printer. This includes a touch screen, wifi connectivity, and full Klipper install with auto bed levelling and even manual bed levelling knobs. The hot end can reach 300 degrees Celsius for use with filaments like PLA, TPU, ABS, ASA, PETG, Nylon and more.
OrcaSlicer is the recommended slicer with some basic presets for the Neptune 4 PLUS and as time goes on I suspect the community will build out more material presets. The PLA general preset is suitable for very popular filament brands from my testing such as Elegoo, eSun, Polymaker, etc.

Overall, I would recommend the Neptune 4 PLUS for anyone looking for a large format 3D printer. It should be suitable for making large parts like cosplay pieces or even functional tools and accessories. It is easy enough to use for beginner and advanced users alike - just make sure you put the time into levelling the bed carefully and your prints will have the perfect foundation.
I am interested to see how Elegoo keeps progressing with the Neptune lineup and the price point is very good right now for $340 USD.
If you are new to 3D printing I still think you should have realistic expectations of the learning curve involved with the hobby. The machine works well out of the box but if you happen to run into issues you will likely get frustrated at first. Take a deep breath, stick with it and don't give up! It doesn't matter if you have a Creality, Bambu Lab, or any other popular high speed printer of this era, eventually you will need to do some troubleshooting. Stick with it!
