I took my Elecraft KX2 transceiver, MicroPA50 power amplifier , a MFJ coil-loaded 5m whip and the Fishing tripod on to a bike and went to a river valley park for a rapid deployment exercise activating an Ichthyological Reserve. Operating outdoorsy is always a challenge, so was this time: I faced an unexpected SWR jump on one of the bands. In the video, I have a theory what was all about. Finally, I fixed the problem and got this nature park activated!
