This video is featuring an End Fed Half Wave antenna which I designed specially for my 20m band QCX-mini transceiver by QRP Labs. It's a non-traditional EFHW with the broadband 49:1 transformer. Instead, it's a mono-band antenna with tuned resonant transformer comprising the toroid transformer which secondary winding and a capacitor make a parallel LC circuit tuned to the 14.1 MHz frequency. 2-turn primary implements the 64:1 transformation ratio. In this design, I use a unique high-voltage capacitor made of piece of a coax cable. This antenna is of improved selectivity due to the resonant transformer and is healthier for the final transistors of the QCX-mini which is quite susceptible to the antenna mismatch and high SWR.
Please check my website for other videos on the QCX-mini transceiver, also many other useful (I hope so:)) stuff. Best of all - consider subscribing to my channel and be the first to know the news.
