This video is about operating Ham Radio outdoors using a minimalist antenna set-up comprised of the readily available Buddistick antenna parts. The loading coil and the short telescoping whip plus a tiny pocket-size tripod make a go-set. I ran this set-up with Elecraft KX2 transceiver, but any portable radio would do as well, like IC-705, QCX-mini etc., and not only QRP, the Buddistick coils can stand full 100W radios too! I’m using it with my portable Yaesu FT-891 transceiver also with no problems.
