This video is all about one question: how to get your Windows 10 64-bit laptop PC internal clock synced with the precise time signals when you are out in the fields with your Icom IC-705 transceiver but with no Wi-Fi and no cell phone coverage. The answer is in the transceiver itself! It's an IC-705 GPS function which allows for transmitting received GPS data in its built -in GPS receiver to the computer via the single USB cable.

It does take two easy set-up steps on the radio and also a dedicated Windows 10 app which would use the GPS signals to control the laptop's clock. I used a BktTimeSync app by Italian amateur radio operator Mauro IZ2BKT. The app is free and could be downloaded through the website at
