Hello guys!
End Fed Half Wave antennas are so popular! And yet they are so wrapped-up into various theories and unanswered questions. In this video, I try to give a lowdown on just some of them. Would the Common Mode Current be present on the coax cable shield if it used as a counterpoise in the EFHW antenna? Would the RF Choke be a solution? Is there anything better to have a tuned impedance transformer compare to a popular broadband 49:1? Is the linked EFHW dipole really so-o inconvenient to use?

The answers were found (well, in a way) using my home made linked EFHW antenna for the 40, 30 and 20 meter ham radio bands as these bands are the most used by me and many other park activators. The action is in the field, making measurements using my home made RF Probe, RF Choke balun, antenna tuning unit and the transceiver Elecraft KX2. It was done in my forest.
