This 10m aluminium mast serves me as an important ham radio accessory flawlessly for almost 30 years now. In this video it was used for the field day operation as part of the portable staion based on the ICOM IC-705 transceiver, and 2m band power amplifier. The mast is made in Germany and sold by Wimo company. (I have no affiliations with this company except that I like buying things from them). It is not the lightweight pole though. It weighs in 16kg together with the tripod. So, it does take some efforts and knowledge to handle it properly , especially in the solo operation in the field with no other hands to help. In this video, I show how do I handle this mast during the field day event based on my many years of practice with it.
