I'm feeling pretty happy with this one!
I was inspired by an edit by an instagram editor, scrqeem, and I decided to make my video have more of a focus on comfort characters ^^ Killua is one of my comfort characters now, (though I can't think of any other major ones atm) so I chose him ^^
Haven't finished an AE edit in a really long time!! AE's been giving me some trouble regarding lag, and it just didn't feel very nice to use it, so I didn't, for a while. But I decided to break it out for this, and thankfully, pretty much everything went smoothly ^^
I wanted to make some parts a little smoother, but oh well. It felt a little hard to make some effects go precisely to the beat at points, too XD''
But I suppose my main gripe is that, for some reason, the audio is especially quiet at the very start and very end. I didn't want to trim the video and potentially reduce its quality though.
I decided to make the main shakes, tilts, and the position movements in a combination of s_blurmocurves and a camera ^^ I realized I had forgotten about null object as I was editing the camera. Decided to not replace it tho. I realized that I forgot about it when I realized that i couldn't scale the whole video with the camera kajdhasjdha
And I also decided to make this a looping edit because why not.
I'm glad that I felt enough motivation and inspiration to finish this in one evening tho ^^ Have been having trouble with finishing video edits lately.
Ah, I also recently-ish finished watching hxh!!! ^^ Don't feel quite ready to write my full thoughts on it here, but I did really enjoy the whole experience and Imma watch the movies and ovas, perhaps even the 1999 version, whenever I'm ready ^^
Oh also also!! While making this, I accidentally (bc i mis-pressed) found a keyboard shortcut in ae that feels like p much a lifesaver for me!! I'm leaving this here as a mental note for myself mostly, but whoever else finds this useful and doesn't know this can look into this too ^^ If you select a layer in the timeline and press the '''['' key on your keyboard, the clip/content on the layer automatically aligns/snaps to where your scrubber bar is!! Dudes, I used to literally click and drag AAALLL of my clips, which were cut even like 10+ minutes away from the 20+ second audio that i've set for the edit, and it was so tiring, but I'm so glad that a thing like this exists!! Saves me so much time and i have no need to desperately drag the clips to the left constantly!!! You can even select multiple layers and use it and the same thing applies to everything you've selected!!!

Welp, this is probably the fastest that ive even edited recently, plus, its a Sonic project! So i personally find it even more surprising that i got it done so quickly.
But but! theres a reason for this x3 I made this as a gift for my girlfriend, @EnchantedNebula , because she hadnt been doing well recently.
Katie, id like to once again mention that im always here for you and here to support you c: I believe in you, and that its gonna be okay in some way or another! I hope you enjoy this little gift! ^^
I somehow went with instinct when making this (especially when setting the clips), so i feel like that is what drove me to finish this quickly, without thinking much. Its something between effort and low-effort for me. Moderate-ish/a fair amount of effort, to a point ^^
I wanted to combine these two songs, because a couple months back Katie showed me Alright, and i knew that she likes this song, and i felt like it could be an alright (ksadhasdjk) semi-positive song, but this song also made me think of another one i know by HU, which is Gonna be OK. Thus, i decided to combine the two, so i suppose its songs that we both like owo
It was a bit hectic to make this tho bc i had to be out today, plus i still need to revise for an exam. But im sure that... itll all be okay in the end ^^ And im happy that i was able to finish this, in the end :3
I hope yall enjoy watching this, too! Im very sad that i havent been able to edit all that much recently, but i really do hope that ill be able to finish some stuff up soon. I definitely feel like ill be able to post a certain MEP part soon ^^
