As Patrick had mentioned in his post, by placing correctly the first container and letting the second explode to fail the mission, makes it likely for Cesar to crash and fall from the bike.Also, placing the crane next to the first container in order to only leave a small gap between them seems to make it even more likely for the crash to happen. If you want you can also fire a weapon at Cesar, so he will get scared and will not try to get the bike back.
