Each time you do this, you get a 10 ammo pick up, so if you want more than 10 you can keep repeating this process to get more. I prefer failing/cancelling while receiving a call than holding a call with OM0 as I start this mission, so CJ doesn't answer the call and I don't lose it.
Also, the reason I have Chinatown safehouse available before completing Are You Going to San Fierro is because I bought another safehouse during one of the 3 Courier missions.
