In 1946 the Dutch Flight Academy received four Junkers JU.52/3m aircraft. They came from an RAF depot for captured Luftwaffe aircraft at Fühlsbuttel airfield in Germany. Three were put to use as trainers and were named Opa, Oma & Ome Keesje. The ferry flight to the Netherlands in 1946 was done while the aircraft still had their German dark/grey camouflage paint, but already with white painted RAF serials on the fuselages.
