Putting holes and threads into POM cuboids to turn them into side parts …
↓↓↓ Complete description, time index and links below ↓↓↓
In the previous video we’ve milled two POM stock blocks down to the required dimensions (link below). Now we just have to drill five holes (two 6mm, two 5mm and one 12mm) and cut two M6 threads into each of our side parts.
We start by reviewing the detailed drawing and mark the required lines on our work piece. Then we drill the two 6mm holes. The 12mm hole is drilled in several steps. Finally we drill the two 5mm holes and cut M6 threads into them.
00:00 Intro – time to make some holes
00:33 Detailed drawing – just a short recap
01:28 Marked – the two side parts
04:38 Drilled (1) – two 6mm holes
07:30 Drilled (2) – one 12mm hole in 3 steps
10:39 Drilled (3) – two 5mm holes
13:02 Cut – two M6 threads
14:23 Wrap-up – next time we turn again, bye
