At only 1.3 grams, this may well be the lightest add-on Remote ID (RID) module currently available for purchase. It also enables Betaflight access to GPS telemetry information via your analog FPV goggles or via Spektrum/Futaba receivers. Find it here at dronetag.cz

Note that Dronetag also offers a smaller, cheaper, "DRI" module. But note that the DRI module does NOT have GPS, and is intended for manufacturers to integrate internally with their product drone's GPS system (i.e. not intended for your average hobbyist).

- Not Chinese made. Manufactured in Prague, Czech Republic, Europe.
- Meets minimum requirements for worldwide RID compliance. The design is intended to meet these requirements with a minimum weight solution.
- Meets ASD-STAN EN 4709-002 & ASTM F3411-22 standards, and FCC/CE approved/certified radio module.
- Transmits via BT 4 & 5 for lower power consumption, and to mitigate radio interference with the drone. Transmission range of up to 3 km
- requires U.FL compatible antennas, 2.4 GHz for Bluetooth and 1.575 GHz for GNSS external antennas. Basic antennas are provided (adds 0.3 grams weight). But optional higher performance antennas are available for purchase.
- Includes a built-in GPS to enable transmission of drone location data. Includes a 7 minute capacitor to temporarily power and maintain a GPS fix in case you need to momentarily cycle power (such as swapping the drone's battery).
- Includes built-in flash memory to store flight data.
- Module is powered by a (3.3V-17V) power source through 3 or 4 pin power input cable. Power source may through the drone's power (via UART connection to the flight controller (also enables goggles telemetry via Betaflight configuration, or drone's battery), or from an external 3.3 - 17V LiPo battery via JST SH 3 pin connector. (Optional 1S battery add 1.9s grams)
- To avoid damage to the module, installation must include either shrink wrap (wt negligible), or optional protective case (adds 1.6 gr case + 1.9 gr battery, total 4.8 grams with device).
- Allows Betaflight integrates with your flight control board through UART connection for setting up GPS telemetry info onto FPV goggles. Can also function as a Futaba or Spektrum telemetry module.
- Configured using the free Dronetag App, available on Play and the App Store. App also provides location and telemetry data from the module. Easy to setup
1. Open app, and provide an email address to register the module with Dronetag.
2. Next click on profile icon.
3. Next click on "Register Device"
4a. The app will start scanning for nearby RID devices.
4b. Click on the device labeled BS.
5. Confirm the device, and write down the serial number. You'll need it to register its serial number with the FAA (done separately).
6. Clicking on the device brings up the RID status screen. On this screen you can monitor the GPS status before taking off. Once you gain a GPS fix, you may click on "Takeoff" to activate transmission from the device.
Before clicking on takeoff, you can also visually check the status of the device by its LED
Colors
Green - Standby, device ready for flight
Yellow - Not ready, searching for GPS fix
Blinking white - Flight mode, device is broadcasting.
Red - Malfunction, restart power to reset.
7. In the USA, only the device serial number is needed to be transmitted since you've registered the device with the FAA. It's like a license plate. Other countries though may require additional information to be transmitted. This information may be entered into the device through the Remote ID Setup button. But again, this is not needed to be done in the USA.

And Dronetag also offers optional higher performance BT and GPS antennas if desired.
