We’re heading into Death Valley National Park to drive Badwater Road, the lowest road in North America. Starting near Furnace Creek, we’ll follow the road deep into Death Valley, stopping at historic and unusual locations including the Borax Museum, Golden Canyon, Artists Drive, Devil’s Golf Course, and Badwater Basin.

Along the way, we’ll explore the history of Badwater Road, Death Valley’s borax mining past, and some of the incredible geology that created this landscape. Our journey eventually takes us to Badwater Basin, the lowest point on land in North America at 282 feet below sea level.

And with an extreme heat warning in effect and temperatures climbing toward 125 degrees, we’ll also put one of Death Valley’s most famous claims to the test and find out if it’s really hot enough to fry an egg.
