The world may be edging closer to a global recession as the US-Israeli war on Iran has sent oil prices spiralling and has had a knock-on impact on global economies.
The International Monetary Fund is warning the conflict has driven up higher inflation and slowing growth worldwide.
US President Donald Trump and his administration are in favour of drilling for more oil, a view panelist Greg Swenson, Chairperson of Republicans Overseas UK, puts forward igniting a disagreement with fellow guests, the economist Ann Pettifor and Matthew Agarwala, Bennett Chair of Sustainable Finance, who argue that investing in renewables is essential to provide energy security, citing the success of China.
