My god, when this form first dropped the amount of pure hatred that was given for it was quite atrocious. “Oh my god why is it called super Saiyan god super Saiyan if Goku is already a super Saiyan god. Shouldn’t it be called Saiyan god?” (This is a real statement btw.) After reading the Super Manga and how Toyotaro establishes the form, I have to say that super Saiyan blue is the best transformation we’ve gotten since the likes of super Saiyan 2. It may sound silly but please let me break down what super Saiyan blue actually is before debunking the main points.Now Super Saiyan Blue is the power of the super Saiyan God form stacked with Super Saiyan 1. Due to god ki being a generally new concept for Goku and vegeta, this means like back when they first used Super Saiyan, they can only sustain the forms full power super early on in the fight. But with god ki it seems like because of how hard it is to even attain it, flickering with this power gives the user an insane drain of stamina. We see this when Vegeta flexes Blue off to show Cabba a path to power, but because of this, when he fought Hit and used Blue, he was only fighting at 1/10th the power of super Saiyan God. Goku, unlike Vegeta, decided to savor Blue's full power till the very end, which allowed him to effectively counter Hits timeskip. This arc first shows off Blue's potential flaw, which is then further capitalized in the next arc, that being the Goku Black Saga. Where Vegeta would straight up embarrass Black, but because of him not only growing in power but also Blues ridiculous stamina drain, it wasn’t long before Black caught up to Vegeta. To the point where even Vegeta right after eating a senzu bean, can clash with black only for a few hits before losing energy. Vegeta would lose unfortunately but we would see after returning for the rematch, Vegeta learned a new trick. Initially it looks like Vegeta just got so much stronger he’s beating up Black with God. But really Vegeta the moment he’s throwing the attack, switches into blue for a second and turns it off after the attack lands. This way he removes the problem of Blues full power dropping in a long term fight, while also maximizing the amount of damage he can do consistently. It’s a really clever detail that I think gets dropped a little too fast but this is not technically Mastered Blue. Vegeta is getting weaker so the possibility of him just losing before he gets the switch off could happen, which is what we see with Zamasu folding the both of them and they end up just staying in Blue. Zamasu believed that this was the end game for Super Saiyan Blue, but in reality he was only just starting to see the birth of a new power. Goku would manage to absorb the leaking blue aura that his body wouldn’t be able to sustain, allowing him to use Blue's true power since he’s not just turning it on for a second, but rather actively using it. Mastered Blue works similar to Blue Kaioken where his body can’t sustain the form for long, and this results in the aura leaking out of his body. This isn’t that important, I just think it’s cool. After this, we’d see Blue essentially be complete, and even Vegeta before the t.o.p attained the same power. Now if it weren't for the fact Goku and Vegeta get the anime power ups anyway, I’d say Blue is perfect. But they end up using these forms which really just negs most of Blues spotlight. Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego at least enhance Goku and Vegeta for the better, Blue Kaioken and Evolution in the manga is just there for dumb people to be less confused because they don’t know what continuity is. And for the manga at least it gives us a good transition to what Goku's next path of power is, but the fact this came out of nowhere and in the same chapter he learns Ultra Instinct. And sadly after this and Goku & Vegeta fights with Jiren , Broly , Moro, and Granolah, there's no future for the form it seems.
