Kuzan, better known by his alias Aokiji, is one of the Ten Titanic Captains of the Blackbeard Pirates, as the captain of the Tenth Ship. Before joining Blackbeard's crew, he served as a Marine Admiral, having been taught by Monkey D. Garp. He was nominated by Sengoku for the position of Fleet Admiral; however, after fighting Sakazuki for the position and losing, Kuzan resigned from the Marines. Kuzan was the antagonist of the second part of Long Ring Long Land Arc; in the anime, he is instead one of the main antagonists of the Foxy's Return Arc. He is later a secondary antagonist of the Marineford Arc, a minor antagonist in the Egghead Arc, and a major antagonist in the Final Saga. After breaking down the Kizaru Problem and how the constant need for holding back really does make it hard to push the Kizaru agenda. However, today we will be taking a different admiral and going over what I believe to be the funniest one piece agenda. That being of course the ol Aokiji Blitzes and Freezes his opponent. Aokiji has always been one of my GOATS so I’m excited to break down not only Aokiji's time throughout the story, but also break down his scaling and see if his agenda is truly real. Now I’ll first mention here what I briefly touched on in my Kizaru video, that being of course how The Admirals all represent a sense of justice. Originally I said how Aokiji tries to push what’s beneficial and I was actually wrong about that. Aokiji's justice is more laid back in a sense, where he doesn’t think enforcing justice is necessary, and is only enforced with minimum effort. Which is why Aokiji seems nonchalant, because bros so chill.. see what I did there. Anywho, it’s said Aokiji can freeze the very ocean itself with his ice, as we then see him destroy our protagonist in 10 seconds flat. He also freezes the majority of the sea while taking out a sea beast, which had enough potency to wipe out countries, just based on the range alone. Aokiji was able to do this because he has the Hie Hie Fruit, or the freezing fruit. This is a logia type devil fruit that allows the user to transform himself or anything he touches into ice, inflicting both physical and freezing damage in his attacks. Even if his body were to break, he can regenerate and reform himself as well. As for what types of Haki he has access to, he has Advanced Observation and Armament and potentially Conquerors. I do believe he has all 3 types but I know a lot of people would probably say it isn’t confirmed so it’s armament until proven otherwise… I just don’t think it makes sense for Aokiji to not have it by this point in the story but that’s just me. Luffy would free Robin and she’d manage to find herself in a good position, which leads into Aokiji who originally wanted to eliminate her, letting her go as he recognized what she dealt with past O'hara. Aokiji after this wouldn’t be seen until Marineford, where of course he steps in first when Whitebeard invades Marineford. After bro proceeds to shift a tectonic plate and tries to use tsunamis against Marineford, Aokiji would move quickly to freeze the water instantaneously. Whitebeard would use his fruit to crack Aokiji, which would ultimately do nothing as he can regenerate, leading to the admirals disrupting his attack so that Marineford isn’t destroyed. He’d get off guarded by Marco which would do nothing, before then getting in a one on one with whitebeard. He’d proceed to outspeed and freeze Whitebeard before he could attack, but due to Whitebeard having vibrations, his ice can’t hold him. Whitebeard then tries to stab him with Haki, which leads into Aokiji pulling a Katakuri, and forming around his attack. Jozu would luckily save Whitebeard but it wouldn’t prove to do much as Aokiji just freezes him. Aokiji really couldn’t just stay and try to clash heads with Akainu. So instead he decided to join someone who’s not only a powerful force, but also an unpredictable one. These factors allowed these two to fight all out and go blow for blow, but ultimately Garp was overwhelmed and wouldve definitely had the edge had Aokiji fought him under normal conditions. Regardless though, Aokiji is someone who's not only super powerful, but has yet to go all out within the series. I feel as of currently within One Piece, this guy is blitzing and freezing any character that isn't a yonko. And due to seeing how Kizaru performed against Gear 5, I believe Aokiji would have a much better time against Luffy, due to being a lot stronger in comparison to his marineford self, while Kizaru probably didn't grow all that much.
