"Always Is" is Track 3 of Donker's Debut EP Album "Dying Star"
The song is very personal and is about perseverance and keeping one's own identity intact when your world is collapsing around you. The video is haphazard and avant garde and improvisational shaped by the imagery and science fiction aesthetic of Sergei Lukyanenko, Fritz Lang and Terry Gilliam.

The song in it's distilled essence is about resilience. I wrote it about someone navigating hard times and while it feels very melancholy, it reveals someone who feels pain deeply but doesn't discard it but instead changes it into something else.
My main 'thing' is being a indie music writer since 2009 at American Pancake. Still going on as of this update in 2024! Would love for you to check it out.
