Among the characters and films that got me into comics and Marvel as a whole, Doctor Strange has to be a BIG part of it. Besides being one of the most grounded if not compelling origin stories, Strange's theme and growing style of world-sourced mystics and sci-fi travels are just way too much fun to read or watch. While I can't dedicate huge tributes to every major player like I did with Spider-Man, I knew I wanted to bring it for his gorgeous theme song before the exciting second film drops! The arrangement plays off a lot of beautiful side-themes mixed with my usual prog-metal writing, but I think I found a balance! A few of you might expect me to play this theme on sitar or something, but given the weird association of psychedelic music to that instrument in Western media.. I opted to tuck it in the back and focus on metal here.

In addition to cutting with Multicam tool, I shot this video on my now-fixed Atomos Ninja V recorder in ProRes making things much quicker! I also used a ton of assets from ProductionCrate, an amazing group that work on effects and templates for their service and easily one of my biggest influences on VFX. I had a lot of fun squeezing small FX moments into this music video in just a few days! Mix-wise I also feel like I hit a great new point - abandoning a lot of my old presets and just focusing on what sounded good, bad, or like my references! The result, while a bit of a small step up, is humongous to me and I'm real proud of how heavy this hits!
