From the Storm we sailed through to the Monsoon we live through.. it all comes back to the Hurricane.

Hurricane is the finale of my loose "trilogy" of stormy weather songs, and easily boasts some of the wildest and trickiest solos and riffs I've written into one melodic-metal song. I wanted to base each of these songs on a specific feeling or place, and the kind of feelings that transpire in those spaces, so while Monsoon is fittingly inspired by my Indian 2nd-gen background and all, Hurricane is rooted in my experiences in North Carolina. Big wonderful mountains and forests hit by devastating rain, the time I've spent working literally on hurricane prevention and power restoration, and of course the big cathartic finale where nature and humans find peace together.
I goofed on adding the tabs as an overlay BUT, as with Monsoon I did uniquely transcribe the song in case there's interest from more of the guitarists watching my stuff so.. SOUND OFF if you'd be interested in that!
Lastly thank you to my friend Tre, who put their incredible spin to make the guitars heavier, bass clankier, and frankly some of the songwriting pop far more than I had before. They've been infinitely influential on me and I hope it shows in my song. OH and since it's relevant in the guitarist community, this is a mimed performance to the final mix with me plugged in for extra realism - if you want to hear it live wait for my band and I to prep it 😉
