In this video, I compare the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro (2024) vs the DJI Action 2 (2021) in a head-to-head battle to see if the latest and greatest is worth the upgrade! 🆚
We start by testing both cameras side by side in 8-bit mode and then switch to 10-bit on the Osmo Action 5 Pro to push the image quality to the next level. Throughout the video, I explore the similarities and differences in audio quality, field of view, colors, and clarity in the footage.
Stabilization is a key point—how do both cameras handle shake and movement? I also test the Horizon Balancing (up to 45 degrees) to see how well each keeps the horizon level, no matter how intense the action gets.
Another major factor is the form: DJI Action 2 offers a modular design, while the Osmo Action 5 Pro sticks to a more traditional action camera style. I break down how these designs affect usability in different scenarios, as well as the difference in sensor sizes.
