Two of my all-time favorite action cameras go head-to-head in a real-world hiking test! 🌲📷
When I head out into nature, these are the two cameras I trust the most: the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and the DJI Action 4. If you've watched my channel for a while, you already know that the Ace Pro 2 is my personal favorite. It's incredibly simple to use—you just press record and you can be confident the footage will look great every time.
That said, the DJI Action 4 is still one of my favorite action cameras. It has some clear strengths, especially its excellent D-Log M 10-bit recording, which gives you much more flexibility when color grading your footage.
But there is one thing that continues to frustrate me with the Action 4: its exposure can sometimes be inconsistent, and in this video you'll see exactly what I mean. The results aren't always as predictable as I would like.
In this comparison, I tested both cameras using:
✅ Standard color profile
✅ Log profile (D-Log M on the DJI)
✅ Different sharpness settings
✅ Real outdoor hiking conditions in bright summer light
