On a brisk winter day, I took the DJI Mavic 4 Pro out to Dedication Point overlooking the breathtaking Snake River in Idaho to test the Inception gimbal roll feature.
The canyon was crisp, the air was cold, and the wind definitely kept things interesting — but the Mavic 4 Pro handled it beautifully. This flight focuses on testing the smoothness, control, and cinematic potential of the Inception mode as the drone rolls while maintaining forward movement over the dramatic winter landscape. Okay, I did have to duck out of the way of this flight.
Dedication Point offers one of the most stunning panoramic views of the Snake River - my happy place!
