Plate-Balancing Pull-Ups... since I don't have any neutral grip pull-up handles on my rack, this is my favorite workaround.
And while yes, I AM balancing two plates on top of the pull-up bar, it's actually NOT a super crazy balancing act.
Because I'm gripping evenly on both sides, and I've got the plates centered on the bar, there is a small bit of tipping you need to track and control but it's not that hard.

Be VERY sure to use weights you KNOW you can control for this, if you decide to try it out.
In the first part of the video, I'm using two 25 lb bumper plates (use bumpers for this for sure - steel plates can slide too easily).
In the second part of the video, it's a single 25 lb plate (don't use anything smaller because a 10 will bend too much if you pull down on the edges).
