UNIVERSAL, if only everything would be... maybe in a different multiverse. In reality, not everything fits. This video shows a perfect example. Creality has made the new K1 printer buildplate size identical to the Ender 3 V2 printers. Hey, that's great; so what's the problem? Well, they're still not quite the same, there are these little things called notches that need to be added (removed) from the buildplate to make them interchangeable.
So in this video I'll show the process of how you can do it. Of course there are lots of ways to make a cutout in steel/stainless. The method I've used in the video is the quickest for me, but it can easily be done with an angle grinder, a hand file, a drill press and some files, or using a Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel.
The Wham Bam Buildplates seem to last, they're also fairly thick metal, they don't tend to pull away from the tops quite as easily as some of the thinner buildplates that come with the printers. They also have a higher temperature rating. If you're printing with PETG you are still supposed to use glue stick, it can adhere too well and can damage the plate.
