Trinket bowls are a must-have staple in anyone’s bedroom, craft room, or workspace. These felt bowls can be made in any size to suit what you need them for and can be quickly stitched from a circle of felt and a handful of beads. Not only do we want to make lots of felt bowls for ourselves, but they’d also make the perfect gift for any lucky recipient!
Our beaded bowl pattern is free and easy-to follow thanks to Corinne’s video tutorial. Mark out the stitching positions around the circumference of the disc, adding interim positions if your DIY felt bowl is going to be bigger than the average trinket dish. The same method can be used with leather, suede or denim. For a cotton version, sew two circles right sides together, turn out through a small gap in the stitching and press well, before sewing up the gap and gathering the edges.
