Need an activity that’s easy to transport and will keep a child (or curious adult) occupied for ages? Look no further than that bag of old wooden building blocks in the back of a cupboard.
Matching blocks are such a simple idea but really good fun to both make and play with. Choose illustrations from old books, wrapping paper, leftover scrapbooking stock, or even draw your own designs.
Measure your blocks, cut your motifs to size and paste different pictures onto each face of a wooden block. When dry, add a protective coat of pva and you’re ready to go! Pop all the blocks into a drawstring bag for entertainment on the go.
