@shabby.soul is working a little Distress magic with @Tim_holtz Distress® Crayons and Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder for that dreamy, matte, icy finish that makes you want to touch the screen (don’t worry, we all tried).
Grungy texture never goes out of style, so save this reel for when your project needs just one more layer.
Supplies:
Tim Holtz Distress:
- Texture Paste Opaque
- Crayons: Evergreen Bough, Crushed Olive, Uncharted Mariner
- Collage Medium
- Collage Brush
- Embossing Dabber
- Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder
- Archival Ink - Black Soot
- Heavystock Tag

- Layering Stencil - Markings
- Cling Mounted Stamp Set - The Obscure
- Cling Mounted Stamp Set - Tiny Text
Idea-ology:
- Photomatic
- Tiny Attacher
Ranger:
- Artist Brush
- Palette Knife
-Heat It Craft Tool
Instructions:
-Apply Texture Paste through your stencil with a palette knife. Let dry.
-Apply Collage Medium to the entire tag with a Collage Brush. Let dry.
-Scribble your tag with Crayons. Spray with a small amount of water. Blend the Crayons with a brush working from lightest to darkest color. Remove excess water and pigment with a paper towel.
-Scribble again with Crayons and blend with your finger to create depth and texture.
-Stamp with The Obscure stamp and Archival Ink to add more interest.
-Apply Embossing Ink to a Photomatic with the Embossing Dabber, covering the entire surface. Pour Frosted Crystal on top. Remove excess and heat with an embossing tool until the powder turns frosted or matte.
-Assemble the Photomatic and elements onto your tag.
