🐸 #DrFacilier: in the bilingual city of #NewOrleans, where English and Cajun French had been coexisting for a long time, I would expect #Facilier to speak both natively. I used the Canadian dub for French, not the one from France

🦁 #Scar: a special Zulu dubbing was released by #Disney specifically for #TheLionKing. Yes, Swahili would have been the correct choice here, but given the rarity this dubbing is, let’s not waste it, heh?

🐱 Si & Am: everyone’s favourite Siamese cats come evidently from Siam, name by which the country of Thailand was officially called until 1932, when it switched to the denomination used today.

♥️ #QueenOfHearts: Lewis Carroll’s children’s novel “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and its sequel probably based their main character on and were certainly dedicated to Alice Liddell, whose family Carroll frequented in 1850-60s. Hence why the Queen of Hearts speaks the same language as Alice.
