This is my 999% match/goal on a cute character in Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64.
My goal was to get cute characters (Yoshi, Pikachu, Kirby, and Jigglypuff) to 999% damage, while the other person (female, if possible) played like normal. I played as Mario because the other characters either couldnt do it without KOing or simply had it too hard.
NOTE: For this type of match/goal, it heavily matters how good the other player is. The other player cant be too good, or it wont work out. As you see in this video, it does matter. So you may see the other player sandbagging quite a bit, for the sake of helping me with this goal. In other words, I deem it impossible for a good player to get the other good player to 999% damage, even when playing at top level.
After 4 years of trying, constantly searching for the one to help me with this goal, and endless frustration trying to explain to people how I wanted my goal so theyd fully understand...
My goal is finally done!
Very special thanks to TwilightSparkle for helping me with this goal! Shes the only one who fully understood how I wanted my goal, and the last one! She was my last hope! If she hadnt have the patience to help me, I wouldve never achieved this goal! So, again, very special thanks to her for helping me with this! Much appreciated!

In fact, during the match/goal, at certain parts, her skills shows just how good she really is. She only helped me because I wanted this goal to end so bad (after 4 years)! So, please, no harsh comments about my goal!

It takes place in Hyrule Castle. I turned the tornado off in Hyrule Castle by using a GameShark to make my goal easier. If that tornado was there, my goal wouldve been much more frustrating to achieve, especially at the end.
I also turned the music off by using a GameShark. The reason why is because I wanted to hear the sound effects as clear as possible.
Rules:
- 7 stocks.
- No items.
- Default costume/color only for player 1s character, any costume/color for player 2s character.
- First attack always comes from the cute character.
- Shield breaking is disallowed.
- Player 2s cute character cannot get KOd at all.
- Player 2s cute character is allowed to taunt, periodically too.
- Crowd must cheer for the cute character at a very high percent damage.
Here is a list of my own rules I had for recording purposes:
- Up smash that character for the KO endurance.
- Up tilt that character for the KO endurance.
- When those 2 moves connect, that character must be on ground at a specific spot without crouching or DIing up, or else its instant KO.
Here are the additions to the rules for recording purposes:
- Crowd cheers had to go uninterrupted. Interrupting the cheers with an attack meant an automatic restart.
- Mario couldnt get KOd on second to last stock until the cute character was at 999% damage.
- Mario being tortured on the last stock by the cute character was masterminded by me. Not only for recording purposes, but also for laughs.
- Star KO had to occur on the last stock. Screen KO occurring meant an automatic restart.
For anyone wondering, certain parts that dont seem like normal playing (such as not attempting to attack after getting 999% damage) are part of my goal! Hyrule Castle is the only stage where I could do the 999% match/goal, because no other stage had what I wanted, especially for the torture part!
I know there are ways to get 999% damage much faster (red shell glitch, bumper glitch, et cetera). Ive seen too many videos of those glitches. In my opinion, they are less entertaining. And using stage hazards (such as the POW Block in Mushroom Kingdom) to get 999% damage much faster are also less entertaining. Those are the reasons why I wanted to do the 999% match/goal WITHOUT those glitches and stage hazards.
Im very happy with my 999% match/goal on cute characters. I absolutely have no intention of improving this goal, let alone do other characters (other than Yoshi, Pikachu, Kirby, and Jigglypuff...at least for me).
If I ever decide to do a goal like this for Super Smash Bros. Melee, Ill have the videos and the description here as a backup to make explaining much easier. Seriously, explaining how I wanted my goal without having this as a backup was very frustrating, and eventually too difficult to even bother explaining at all to others. So, I am glad I have this as a backup.

Swimming physics:
The swimming physics are different from the SFC version. In the GBA version, just holding Left or Right on the D-Pad isnt enough to go fast. The run/roll/cartwheel button has to be used too. And even then, swimming horizontally is slower in this version. Also, swimming up is way different from the SFC version. In the GBA version, Donkey and Diddy can swim up way faster, even when holding Down on the D-Pad.
Enguarde the Swordfish:
Enguarde is useful for most of the level. The physics are different from the SFC version, but he is still useful.
Letter G approaching:
The last section can be hard. Upon getting the letter G, chances of getting knocked off of Enguarde is very high.
Be sure to go to Cranky and Candy after this level.

A walkthrough of how to defeat this boss without using the Insta-shield in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles for the Genesis.
As you know, Carnival Night, Act 2 is very long. If you spend too much time in this level, you may end up not having enough time to defeat the boss. Two reasons why. #1, there are very little opportunities to hit the boss. #2, the boss is so high up that Sonic cant hit him without his Insta-shield technique. This can be a problem for Sonic if he is wearing a bubble shield or a fire shield (or a lightning shield if one does not want to use it). It can also be a problem if Sonic cant use the Insta-shield to avoid transforming (change into Super Sonic by pressing jump in midair with 50 rings or more). If one wants a challenge without getting hit and without using the Insta-shield within the time limit, one will have to be very wary of that. Here is how to do it.
After the boss drops the big green bolt, time his movement rhythm by hitting him between the green bolts. Then, after the boss does that lightning attack, hit him from above as he grabs the big green bolt. Repeat the process until he is defeated.
Doing this tactic without getting hit is difficult because the timing on hitting the boss between the green bolts is pretty strict. However, if youre low on time, this is the only way to do it without using the Insta-shield within the time limit.
It can be done in about 1 minute, 29 seconds. However, I suggest being at the boss area when the timer reaches 8 minutes. The reason why is because the possibililty of missing him on timing the hit between the green bolts is quite high, as I demonstrated in this video.
- If youre playing as Sonic and Tails and you miss a hit during that cycle, its not too big of a deal if youre low on time. Tails can sometimes be helpful during the battle.
- If youre playing as Sonic Alone and you miss a hit during that cycle, you might be in trouble because you have to wait for the boss to do that lightning attack, grab the big green bolt, and drop it again for another chance to time the hit between the green bolts. It takes around 20 seconds, and that can be very bad if youre low on time.
Tails has it much easier than Sonic. He can use his twin tails to hit the boss from below, thus speeding up the battle.")

A guide/walkthrough of all the silver coin challenges on Adventure Two mode using as little boosts as possible in Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64.
The challenge was to use as little boosts as possible. The only time they are used is when the silver coin is either too far out of the way or is placed by the Zipper. In this case, the Zipper in Jungle Falls is required to get both silver coins over the water. As for certain other silver coins placed by the Zippers, the green boost trick is used as a freebie.
NOTE: On Adventure Two mode, it is only possible to fully do the normal races and silver coin challenges consistently as either Krunch, Drumstick, or T.T. using as little boosts as possible. The AIs are almost as fast as they are on the trophy races (Ultimate AI), making it impossible for every other character to fully do them consistently using as little boosts as possible. On Adventure mode, it is possible to fully do the normal races and silver coin challenges consistently as every character. The AIs are as slow as Pipsy.

With Ultimate AI code (trophy race mode) turned on, it is only possible to fully do every race consistently as Drumstick using as little boosts as possible. T.T.s top speed with the plane is like Krunchs, which is not enough to gain distance from the AIs before they hit the Zipper in Hot Top Volcano and Windmill Plains on the 1st lap. This applies to Adventure mode and Adventure Two mode.
How the game works:
AIs cheat by using a power up whenever you do and whenever the AI in front does, as well as honking the horn. 60% of the time, there is always a chance you will be hit by a homing missile. If you get enough distance in 1st place, the AIs will stop hitting Zippers behind you, as well as driving into traps and not be effected off-screen, including them getting stopped by the bridge off-screen in Boulder Canyon.
I challenge you to do the normal races and silver coin challenges using as little boosts as possible.
