Did They All Know? How Biss Pulled Off the Switch…And Who Helped Him
At my candidate forum on February 9, 2025, Mayor Daniel Biss told residents he wanted four more years to serve Evanston. In that same forum, sitting right next to Biss, his opponent Jeff Boarini made it plain - Biss was thinking about himself. Then came April 28th Biss was sworn in as our Mayor. On May 14, Pastor Monte Dillard publicly praised him while introducing his City Address. The very next day May 15th, Biss launched his campaign for Congress.
So when exactly was the plan set in motion? And did the good Pastor Monte Dillard know while delivering that glowing Biss is Jesus Christ-like intro? More importantly…which council members knew and used their influence to help Biss pull this off? Because council members Clare Kelly and Tom Suffredin didn’t endorse him or play along. The others did, convincing residents Biss was committed to the full term.
Jeff Boarini was robbed. This wasn’t about Evanston - it was about ambition. It was about power.
