For many years, JK Rowling has shared her political opinions on her Twitter account. Normally she leans one way, but recently she has made some statements that others deem as insensitive and have angered her normal base of fans. Many have said that they'll never be able to read Harry Potter again. We know of course, that the book is not separate from the author, but let's take some time today to talk about exactly what the emotional reaction is that causes us to be unable to enjoy artistic work by people we don't like.
