We called in to look at the Devil's Marbles, on our way, travelling north. I really enjoyed walking around there and was more than just a bit surprised at the way some of the rock formations are sitting. I think it is one of those places you have to see for yourself. My thoughts were that it was an amazing place. There were no tourists around these natural wonders when we were there, which made the whole experience feel very remote.
I am amazed that a storm has not blown some of these boulders over, and am very happy that vandals have not stooped low enough to damage this place.
The Aboriginal name for this place is Karlu Karlu, and it is of spiritual significance to them and is a Registered Sacred Site.
The Devils Marbles are in the Northern Territory, Australia, about 400 km north of Alice Springs
