For a description of DLTK Merciful, see my Runway video:

Because this run has some long and boring parts where I stand around waiting for guards to move, I created this abridged video that speeds up the boring stuff. The unabridged video is here:

Of the five levels that have been beaten on DLTK Merciful, Depot is the trickiest. There are seven spawn guards, three guards near the beginning, six in the computer building, and three in the arms cache building. Fortunately, there are quite a few opportunities to lure guards somewhere (such as vacant buildings with stacks of crates), then leave them behind. Note that most guards in Depot start out deaf, but lose their deafness when alerted. So, to lure them with noise, I need to alert them some other way first.

To begin with, I handle the first three guards as described above: lure them into a building and leave them there. I then run to the computer room to lure out three more guards. I shoot one of them, which alerts two others. Typically, if Guard A sees Guard B being hit, but A isn't otherwise alerted, then A will run to the place where Bond was standing when B was hit, then stop. I want A (in this case, the guard in the front-right corner) to keep chasing me, so I make some noise after shooting B (the guard in the front-left corner). Another guard (in the back-left corner) sees the guard in the front-left being hit, but he's too far away to hear me, so he stops at the place I was standing at when I shot the front-left guard. After firing these shots, I run behind a semi trailer near the big warehouse, wait for the two guards from the front of the computer building to copy my position, and get inside the warehouse.

Next, I manipulate the positions of the spawn guards using a strategy found by Icy. By standing near the back of the large warehouse for a few minutes, you can get all seven spawn guards to congregate in about the same place, then run out of the building without killing them. They won't chase you until you reach a certain distance from them, and the entirety of the computer building and the arms cache building are within that radius.

Once the spawn guards are in place, I stand near the back-right corner of the big warehouse and make noise. This alerts the guard who was originally in the back-left corner of the computer building. He can be slow to reach his destination, so I wait for about five minutes. Note that if I hadn't made noise after shooting the guard earlier, there would now be two guards trying to reach this spot. This can take a long time; in my testing, sometimes even twenty minutes wasn't long enough. To avoid long waits like this, I came up with the aforementioned strategy of making noise in order to get two guards to chase me instead of just one.

At this point, there are three guards left in the computer building. I run out of the big warehouse (which takes some luck), head to the computer building, and destroy the drone gun and monitor. Then, I begin working on the arms cache building. Every time I run across the gap between the two buildings, there's a chance the spawn guards will hit me, so I try not to do so very many times. At the cache, I start by shooting the guard on the right, which alerts the guard on the left. I stand outside and let the right guard copy my position, then wait in the adjacent building. Next, I make noise to lure both guards behind the left stack of crates inside the building. However, I don't want to leave them there because it would block off access to half the building, preventing me from doing another lure later. So, I go outside and make noise again to lure them to the alley, hide while they run there, return to the building, and lure them behind the back crates. Now only one guard remains in the arms cache building (on the top level), and there's no need to alert him. However, there's another danger: when I blow up the cache, the rockets can explode and kill him. To protect him, I destroy the table the rockets are sitting on, which drops them to the floor and puts the guard out of reach of the blast.

With the cache taken care of, I return to the computer room and lure a guard to the building next to the arms cache building. Then I lure another guard from the computer room to a corner outside where he can't see me. This is a tricky lure that often doesn't work. At this point, there's only one guard left in the computer room, and there's no need to lure him away; I can use the crates and tables to protect me while I grab the key. I had a bit of a scare when I failed to pick up the key, but the body armor (only available on the Japanese version) saved me. From there, I just need to outrun the guard and head to the end of the level. It's important to cut the end cinema quickly because the guards that Bond kills in the cinema count toward your total.
