All Things 3D | Demo of a very low cost solution of developmenting VR in MacOS @allthings3d | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 5 hours ago
After solving a problem with supplying adequate power to the Gigabyte half-height GTX1050ti for the "Budget VR Backpack," I also applied it to my low cost MSI MB, Intel SkyLake i3 and Gigabyte GTX1050ti in a very small form factor miniITX case running the latest MacOS 10.13.2 High Sierra with the latest NVIDIA web drivers (378.10.10.10.25.102), Steam, SteamVR and Unity 3D beta 2017.3.0f2. Even though Valve has yet to convert their own tutorial or "The Lab" to the Mac. You can still setup & calibrate the HTC/Vive and run the crude wire-frame box and more importantly run Unity 3D in VR mode. It isn't perfect and still some issues with stability, but if you need to test your VR app on a Mac, this might be the lowest cost solution yet.
Thanks TonyMac X86!
