In this video, we're going step-by-step through the complete brain tanning process, turning a raw deer hide into finished braintan buckskin. You'll see the full hide tanning process, from raw deer skins to a finished product, demonstrating how to make leather using traditional tanning methods. We cover everything including fleshing, scraping, and stretching to achieve a beautifully processed hide. After smoking the hide, the final step of brain tanning, we use deer sinew to sew a traditional buckskin shirt.
