Lanterns is one of three projects in James Gunn’s DCU slated for release in 2026. The other two projects are Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock as Supergirl and featuring Jason Momoa as Lobo, and Clayface, an R-rated body-horror film centered on the shape-shifting Batman villain. Superman gave audiences a glimpse of the Green Lantern Corps through Guy Gardner, and Lanterns will focus on Hal Jordan and John Stewart. This will mark John Stewart’s live-action debut, with the character having been very prominent in Justice League Unlimited.
