David Isbister is a co-organizer with No More Dead Captives which, alongside other animal liberation organizations, are working to transform the Vancouver Aquarium away from a place of captivity for the purposes of entertainment, and towards a marine (and perhaps other) animal rescue sanctuary focussed on healing and re-releasing wild creatures.
No More Dead Captives are organizing a (COVID safe) demonstration outside the Vancouver Aquarium on Saturday July 4th between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm. facebook.com/events/2336541113318094
They also invite concerned citizens to write to the CEO of Ocean Wise, Lasse.Gustavsson@ocean.org, expressing their concern for marine mammals, fishes, and other animals in captivity and requesting a plan be realized to shift the aquarium toward a sanctuary model
