Despite the Southern Newfoundland Slope’s known ecological importance, much of what lies below 200 metres remains unexplored. Using a deep-sea camera system, scientists will map habitats, document biodiversity, and record environmental conditions to guide conservation and management decisions.

Findings from this mission will help build the scientific knowledge needed to support resilient and sustainable oceans.
