Penny pinchers is a ,,damage-stress" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Man at arms (Spiked shield + accuracy trinket) - supporteer
2nd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Antiquarian (dodge trinket + Tears of the Lost) - healer
PROS:
1) Porcupine
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) 2 guardians
6) 2 disruptors
7) 2 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Marks are a menace
4) Low healing potential
Penny pinchers is a damage team with great strenght of stress and DoT. You have 2 riposters, 2 guardians, 2 disruptors and 2 deathblowers, on the other hand only 1 healer. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „full stress“, „porcupine“ and „full damage“. I tried both variantions of Man at arms (damager / stresser), the damage variantion is a better choice. Also both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), bandit version is optimal choice, and lastly Grave robber (damager / stresser), both variantions are good.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use Antiquarian for regeneration. Then Man at arms for opening the riposte OR buffing the team. Lastly Grave robber for dealing some damage.
This will be hard to describe the team. As you can see, you have only 1 healer - an easy target. If you lose him, you don’t have much chances to win the match as „healless team“. On the other hand the team is deadly. 2 deathblowers and 2 riposters are very powerful combination. I lost 2 times against darkest players with a decent team. Honestly even the defeats I enjoyed the matches. For playing this team you need skills, luck and RNGsus by your side. What a unique expierence, maybe another hidden gem?
