When Daniel Blankson arrived in the United States, he wasn't confident in his American English and couldn’t afford college — but he never gave up. Through hard work, support from the UWM School of Nursing and a strong sense of resilience, Daniel overcame cultural and financial obstacles to pursue his dream of becoming a nurse.

"The UWM School of Nursing sees every student as an institution they’re building,” Daniel shares.
“They work with you through every detail of your journey.”

After graduation, Daniel plans to take the NCLEX exam and ultimately become a nurse practitioner.
