Deepak Arora (’22) started his Wearable Technologies company to protect others from the pain he and his family experienced after his young daughter’s accidental drowning. Arora’s experience in health care technology and artificial intelligence, combined with his UWM executive MBA, became the foundation for Wearable Technology. Its patented Wear-Tech Companion can learn a person’s daily patterns and deliver real-time alerts to caregivers when anomalies are detected. Arora received an Impact Award at the 2026 UWM Alumni Association’s Awards Evening.
